Hi, I understand this is quite an old post, but i do really hope this is still up. The main reason I am writing in this post is i need to know a good home based business a rural women can do in India. I am studying in a B school in out skirts of Chennai and we have a project where we work with 20 villages around our college. Our work includes everything from education to children, upliftment of women, to cleanliness in the village etc. Right now I have taken up the cause of helping the women in my village to start a micro enterprise and I am bent on doing it before i finish my studies. I would like to know if you could suggest some ways these ladies could earn some extra money to make their financial condition a little more better. We have had extensive discussions with the women but we could not zero in on any ideas as there would be one or the other problem. Is there anything that you could suggest?

I liked this idea of working from home .But the marketing seems to be a great big cliff to climb.One option is via family or friends but even in cases some wont do as it could be a shamefull matter.Else could have other way like registering some free web domains for marketing or approach jewellers or shops of your products.Its really a good demand in the market for many types of ornaments..
