Accompanied my sister for shopping..she was stepping out for shopping almost after 1and half month as she had met with an accident and was not able to walk ... had mixed feelings..
My friend went to Srilanka. In between her hectic schedule, she went to see my parents and sent a photo of them. I was so emotional seeing my parents with the joy of seeing my friend, and also the commitment my friend had to see my parents. I am ever so grateful. After I came out from the refugee camp in 1995, she is the one who helped me with my advanced level studies my sharing her notes and so on. We go long way back and she will be one of the very few people I will dedicate my life for who I am now.
Day 22-24 Friday, Sat, Sunday 8/17-8/19: Meeting child's old teacher, one more friend returned from India, long nap on Sunday. Day 25 Monday 8/20: Virat Kohli's 23rd test century on TV.
Elder one learning a new life skill. Beginning of new challenges. Wondering where the childhood went.
I needed to take my boys (9 and 7 year olds) to the university as they don't have a camp. While I was in the meeting they sat in the common room. They behaved themselves. I was so thankful and realised that they are not babies anymore.
Schools started. Arrived 20minutes early before the bell started as per my boys insistence. Saw the joy in their faces while they met their friends and that’s it they vanished in the playground. Such a beautiful moment. So happy and thankful that boys are enjoying their school and I taking all in with gratitude.
Due to some wrong wording, one friend got hurt.. sent apologies through WhatsApp.. didn't get any reply.. A day ended worst.. .
My friend was in the hospital and she needed to stay for a long. So I picked her boys along with my boys and took home. They have tried a different food and they played so nicely together until their father came to pick them up. Boys had fun and that made me thankful.
