Change the study time. Do it when you both are alert. Also, do you have to do it everyday? Since she is 10th, may be you can be with her one day, do her work by herself next day. And repeat that pattern. So she will be forced to study on her own. Its easy to get frustrated when you are tired from office. Another option is to do sometime in the morning and some in the evening. Try to find a new schedule. Eat/drink healthy food that gives you more energy and makes you alert

    Hi OP
I was just like your daughter when i was in my 10th. Part of my problem was I was lazy and unambitious and no clue about what i want to do in life. I was more studious in 9th. But couple of incidents and teachers demotivated me and made me doubt if i will be successful. Looking back I feel i should have not given up and should have proved them wrong and more than that i should have challenged myself. I will have that as a life long regret of lowering my stakes, although I feel that i am doing ok for myself.

More than micro monitoring, I think you should have an open conversation with her on what does she want to do in life. I think she has also lowered her stakes due to low confidence or the other reason. It will be good to explain her that this is the only time she has to put all the efforts she can without bothering about results. do also explain her that she may regret her efforts after 20 years when she thinks she deserves to be paid more than the person sitting across her cubicle :). Explain your struggles too to her and where you regret that you didn't try enough. This will give her a perspective. At this point, she should have decided which college she is going for her 11th and should have found out the cutoff for that college so that she can aim for that range.

If nothing works then, a financial reward may be a good idea :). Promise to give her some amount that will motivate her.

    Regards
    Ramya

It is quite natural to feel sleepy and tired after coming back from work. First thing, try to get some good sleep once you are back. If you can afford, keep a maid for cooking and cleaning. That way you do not have to worry about the kitchen part.

Get a blood test done and make sure that your HBG and thyroid level are normal.

Can you hire a tutor ? It makes a big difference when you have a good teacher. You are tired and losing patience, will not help you daughter at all.

    Thank you..

Yes I do talk to her, but no change. While chit chating, i asked her are you feeling bad for getting low marks. she replied no.

While she was doing skating, her master asked to lift right leg, so I used to tell her to do she immediately shows irritation. Then I stopped tell and started looking something else. so that i will not feel bad that she is not doing it. Then she came to me and why am I not looking at her while she was doing her practice.

I feel that when I look at her only i need to tell her if not no issues right for that also she is like why are you not looking at me and not motivating. I really dont know how to do. I give suggestion for improvement, but she doesnt following it.

I have even told her read the answers after right once to verify spelling and other error for so many times. she even told that not even once she has done that. I even make her do at home to prove her how much errors she herself can correct it but in vain.

Hope that she take thing seriously soon.

    Thanks,
    Soch

we had put her in home tutions for some days after that teacher got transferred and left. Hindi tution alone she goes, there too she just do basic reading. I only have to make her read at home.

Problem is she has to read it everyday so that she can recollect it.

She just keeps book in her hand, she will be thinking something or in dream world. So i have to make her read the questions and asks her to repeat it. She is not serious about her studies.

    Thanks dear for the reply
