மிகவும் பிடித்த ஒன்றைப் பெறுகையில்,
நகர்மின்னேணியில் முதல் முறை செல்கையில்,
தயக்கம் உதறி கடல் முன் நிற்கையில்
சேய் முன் பாவை என்றே அமர்கையில்

மின்னல் ஒன்று அவர்களைத் தீண்டி
அவர்கள் சிறுமியென்றிருந்த ஆண்டின்
இனிமையைத் தொட, இன்று சாம்பி
இருந்த முகங்கள் உயிர்த்தே, தூண்டி

விட்ட சுடராய் முகங்கள் மின்ன,
தேவ கணத்தில் வாழ்ந்திருந்தாரும்,
தன்னிலை மீண்டு இருண்டே மெல்ல
இழுபட்டோராய் சென்றிடுந்தோறும்

ஊமைக் காயத்தில் மேலும் பட்டாற்போல்
ஊடுருவும் வலி மிகுந்திட கண்ணில்
ஊறும் நீரும் திரையிட அந்நாள்,
தேயும் நிலவும் இருண்டிடும் விண்ணில்.

Good one Rgs! Had to read a couple of times to understand (I believe I did atleast partially!) Adhu dhane kavidhaiyin azhage! Purindhum puriyamalumai irupadhu! I could feel the nostalgia as I read the lines. "Ilamai paruvathin inimaikalai enni kankalanguvadhum, adhuve andha naatkalil azhudha karanathai enni indru punnaigaipathumai selgiradhu vazhkai"

This one is about women turning to cute children in brief moments of their life. I saw a woman climbing an escalator perhaps for the first time and liked the way her excitement showed, as she smiled with a tinge of fear and exhilaration. Once she was out of it, her face showed that doom that took a short break. Men seemed to be behind that state for most of the women. Our skies seldom show a rainbow. -rgs
