how are you? Am based in auckland, just got married in India , missing India so much :-(

Hi,
I have a job offer from Christchurch and plan to move in by June.
This is my first time to New Zealand. I have read lots about the place,
But it would be great to hear the experience of indians now in NZ
on the following aspects.

- Food, is it a problem, do we get to buy materials to make indian food?

- June, I believe is going to be pretty cold, should I shop warm clothing in india or come there and shop, whats your advice?

- Racism, Is there any racism issues in christchurch?

- Any other, inputs or experiences are welcome..

I will be moving to christchurch in 3 months.
At present Im in India.
Please help me with the essentials things I need to carry along with me.....the ones which are not available in NZ.

Also I heard that there is no domestic help(maid) there. So how do you ppl manage your job and household work?

Where in NZ are you planning to live and wherewhich faculty are you seeking a job?
