There is a place called Bheemeshwari 100 kms off kanakpura road.. It is right inside the woods . They have log cabins and do barbeq right next to the river. You just have to pull some chairs and keep your legs on the rocks or even lay on te mat to gaze at stars, while they set up the camp fire and serve babeqs right to you.. Food and stay is inclusive in the package. They have some white water rafting and coracle ride too to spice up adventure ! ( Aah I had some best moments of my life there ! :) .. )

Also, there is another resort in Mysore called Windflower. Priced a little high but oooooh that is romance !

All depends on your budget to romance ! :)

Its is called the kaveri fishing camp. go to google with the search and you find all details. kabini, bheemeshwari, galibore, etc.........there are many at different distances. the least distance starts from 75 kms from Blore i suppose. kabini and bhemeshwari are more commercialised with TV, mobile access. if you need a real wood stay experience try others.
They are all part of same organisers. All the best.

i had lovely time. staying in river kaveri till 7.30. i was not willing to come out but was hungry and then covered sand till neck to warm up, me and my hubby (weird but i enjoyed it.). gazing stars lying on rope swing.

if you are a veggie, let me suggest you to carry some food for some time. i had tuff time with food. becoz i did not find the veg food tasty over there and did not have many options.

Kabini is commercial. Bheemeshwari isnt to that level. No mobile acces there. We were like swtchd off from the outer world. Google out jungle lodges and resorts.. or even Footloose travel planners.. They organised our trip.

The amount you pay ( about 2k + per person ) will be inclusive of stay and food. The veg food was decent enough. AMong non veg items.. they would serve you chicken BBQ near the river at sunset and egg or fish the next day. The size of the omlette is simply amazing.. :)

We had veg food twice I think.. It was good. You will not feel like getting away from here.. Dont forget your sneakers and swim wear.. ! :)

    Have fun !
