    Nice thread, What u said is right... Let me add somemore points to it.
    I actually learned pranayama from a yoga master and stillkeeps practicing.
    Every 40 seconds the breath pattern changes and hence to keep it in balance one has to do,suka pranayama. First exhale thru left nostril,then inhale thru left nostril and exhale thru right, inhale thru right and exhale thru left- continue this for 15 mts and atlast exhale thru left only... After 15 mts if u check ur breath pattern , air from both the nostrils should be equal....
