A tribute to my departed friend

    Venkat Raman Natarajan

Tarry a while O Death I cannot die.

While my sweet life folds its wings,
My loved ones sing their last love songs to me and
My hands touch their heads with my blessings.

Tarry a while O Death I cannot die.

While my friends reach me with their love,
And I convey my heartfelt thanks to them,
And I embrace each of them with great hug,

Tarry a while O Death I cannot die.

While I re-enact the role assigned to me,
I will embrace you with a big hug,
And a big smile for everyone to see,

Tarry a while O Death I cannot die.

And death did tarry. I saw him smiling all the time on his sick bed knowing well that the end is just round the corner. No complaints, no grumbling and braving the physical pain. His wife, his sons, daughters in law, grandchildren were at his bedside till the last moment receiving his blessings, guidance, hugs and all that with a broad smile on his face.
    Rest in Peace, my friend.

At some stage in Life one may not really know how much time he has left and any sunrise or reading a book or listening to a song or eating a dinner could be his last. Enjoy each moment.

Lucky to depart the world with all his loved ones around him....by loving family. The loved ones also have a satisfaction that they have taken care of him till the end. What they do after he departs...ritual part is not important as taking care of him when alive.
May his soul rest in peace.

Your friend was fortunate in having all his family by his side. Even so, it is painful for the people left behind. The feelings of a person on his death bed so poignantly expressed. May his SOUL RIP.

    Dear Hari Sir,

One who learns about death and conquers the fear of death masters living. For a successful living, one needs to understand death and decide how to handle death. Death is part of living and unfortunately, it is the last chapter of one's life. That needs to be interesting for the whole book to be found interesting by others around us. Maybe, that is why we get rehearsal of funerals in front of our eyes. But unfortunately, we become philosophical for a few hours and forget to delve on the lessons.

If we pursued happiness throughout life as a habit, why death should be painful if it is part of living?
