    If you are interested in IT anyway, you can try some of the crowdsourcing websites. It is a freelancing IT job and you get paid if the code you deliver meets their requirements. Lookup for crowdsourcing projects - designhill or top coder are some examples. Whats better is you can use it as an experience on your resume for your full time job search too.

    sorry I havent been online for a while.
    So, they dont call it a competition though. But the one solution that is accepted will get paid. I think they have 3 solutons that they accept, depending on how much the poster wants to pay.
