.Hot piping soups are good to have during winter. Sweet corn vegetable soup is easy to make, yummy and nutritious (not the knorr kind or other instant brands).Check vahchef’s recipe.

.Grilled or baked Kebabs are good for snacking.Vegetarians can opt for paneer tikka kebab, Hariyali paneer kebab, tandoori gobi, stuffed mushroom kebab, grilled Chana kebab.Non vegetarians have a lot more choices in kebabs with chicken and fish.

.Sprout chaat - mix moong sprouts, chopped veggies like tomatoes, onions, cucumber with salt, lemon juice, chilli powder, little chaat masala.

.Cone chaat - Mix the above sprout chaat with roasted murmura. Make a cone with a roasted lijjat papad and stuff it with sprout-murmura mix.

.Sweet corn chaat - Vahchef has posted two versions. Both are equally good.

.Boil some taro roots, peel and slice into thick roundles, mix in some salt and spread these on a parchment paper, baste with some oil and bake till golden brown(traditionally these are deep fried).Sprinkle some chilli powder and serve.Use can use frozen and sliced taro root to fry or bake or air fry for convenience. This can be eaten as a snack or as a side dish with your rice and dal.

.As a kid I used to enjoy the fried chana dal prepared by my grand mother, the baked version tastes equally good.Oven Roasted Chana Dal - Love is in my Tummy

.You can use corn chips for papdi chaat,to make it healthy cut the corn tortillas into triangles and bake in a preheat oven till crisp.Mexican Chaat Recipe-Fusion recipes-Kalimirchbysmita - Kali Mirch - by Smita

.Inspired by Vahchef and combining his 2 chaat recipes. Here is a tried and tasted healthy version of corn chaat.

Mix boiled sweet corn with chopped onions, tomatoes, peeled and chopped cucumber, chopped green capsicum, green chutney (paste of mint, cilantro and green chillies),salt, chilli powder, chaat masala, lemon juice, dried pitted dates chopped (replacing sweet tamarind chutney with lemon juice and dates) and roasted peanuts. You can also mix this chaat with some roasted murmura and serve immediately.

    10. Masala peanuts/peanut pakodi - Take a mixing bowl, add unroasted and unsalted peanuts, salt, red chilli powder, cumin powder, ginger garlic paste, mint chutney (mint, cilantro and green chillies grounded into a coarse paste without adding water) and mix well. Add gram flour, rice flour and mix everything together.Sprinkle little water and mix well gently with your fingers until each nut is lightly coated with gram flour mixture. Check for salt and if needed add more.Deep fry them in oil over medium flame and try to separate peanuts as much as possible while adding them in oil. Cook until they are well cooked and golden brown in color. Drain it in a paper towel, cool down and store it in an airtight container.Alternatively, spread them on a parchment paper and bake in a preheated oven till done. This can be served as a side snack in your kids lunch box.You can replace peanuts with cashews too.

.Last but not the least...mommy’s kitchen has covered it all. She shares kid friendly snacks and lunch box recipes, both traditional and modern.Check it out Mommy's Kitchen Full Episodes : - YouTube
