The govt still nabs the culprits and puts them In jail.Yes,it takes years to carry out the death sentence. After then those convicts have been sentenced..its been 7 years and still they have not carried out the actual act.

Catching and putting the criminals behind bars does happen right away.though not a severe form
Of punishment, for sure nobody would like to spend time behind bars. Even these criminals thought they can escape but they get nabbed and are screwed for life.

If the criminals do get death sentence or even the severest form Of punishment just like in certain countries ..do these rapes stop?Even in countries with severe form of punishment..rapes still happen.
Why is that? Though it has reduced, the crime has not be been yet “eliminated”.
They still think..they can somehow get away, escape and not just the ones in power.Even the ones without any money or power still do it.

We need to address that situation. That thought process.

Yes..punishments will be there but the elimination, eradication of the crimes should competely stop.

There has to be some form of safety net between the perverts and the society.

To protect something,we have a “barricade”.

Not just the women/children to be safe on their own alone but they need to be untouchable. To get close should not be that easy.

That’s why mentioned alarm, cameras, seperate buses etc..

As an example,Even in offices..everything should be like an open area.No seperate rooms or dividers too.

At the same time,it doesn’t hurt for each and every individual to be aware and safe On their own as it will take very long time to make changes.

Moral education is our need of the hour...making kids experience the kindness and compassion and the beauty of it. Praising for being kind and caring and not applauding for successfully jumping the queue and getting the lolly.

The usual education has been rote anyway, its about getting returns thats all.

Yes, Education is all about getting Mark's and then jobs.
Sex education should be a subject in schools.
Parents have to raise sons with moral values. There should be equality in raising a girl and boy child.
Many males think they are superior to women coz they have been raised in their families like that.
    Eve teasing is not macho.

So true. Many people would fear that if they report such incidents then they need to roam around courts and justice.
They consider rape as humiliation so most of the cases would go unnoticed especially in rural areas.

Moral education classes (name them in Hindi)
And every one has to serve in military (drafting) for 2-4 years. We can start with male and then eventually, at a very late stage (40 years from now) include women also in drafting.
Drafting of young males will give them a "a sense of purpose" and rigors of military training will drain their latent energy. This will also provide them basic stipend or little more for their families. This will employ a lot of men but will be a very big budget solution. There will be some crimes within the military, like any where, that is all males.
Imo Israel, is good example to follow. There both men and women are drafted.

after few days everyone forgets and life goes on ... how many attend the nirbhayas hearings now .. only her parents and only her family is still in anguish
