You can try one of these banana hair packs before washing to control dryness.
1.Peel and grind a ripe banana with 5-8 drops of almond oil. Now apply this on your hair and keep your hair tied up and covered with a shower cap for about an hour. Rinse hair with cold water, followed by a mild conditioning shampoo. You can also add ¼th of an avocado to this hair pack for dry hair.

2.Grind 1 or 2 ripe bananas (depending on your hair length) with 1 egg, 2 tsp milk and 2 tsps honey. Now apply this smoothie to your hair, covering every hair strand. Place a shower cap and let it sit for some 30-45 mins. Wash with a mild shampoo. This will definitely give u smooth and moisturised hair

3.Grind a ripe avocado,a ripe banana with 2 tbsp extra virgin coconut oil.Apply this paste to dry hair.Rinse with warm (not hot) water after 30 minutes; wash hair with a mild shampoo.

@shravs3 Missed telling you something.A night before head bath soaking the amla-reetha-shikakai-methi in a day old rice starch into a paste/liquid suitable for application does wonders for the hair.It gives silky and shiny hair growth when done consistently. As a part of health care, you can cook rice (at least for dinner - I am trying to do this frequently,) using the draining method to remove excess carb from rice. You can then store this rice starch at room temperature for a day to ferment and combine it with a herbal shampoo powder or any herbal hair pack.

My friend's mom follows this method
    Herbal shampoo powder
Mix 100 grams shikakai powder,25 grams dried lemon peel powder,25 grams dried curry leaves powder,25 grams dried red hibiscus flower powder,25 grams fenugreek seed powder,25 grams green gram flour,10 grams soap nut powder(optional) and store in a glass jar.Take 1-3 tbsp as needed and mix with hot water or rice starch (preferably use fermented rice starch) into a smooth runny paste or liquid, let cool and use as shampoo.

All these herbs are great, but most of these are known to cool your body temperature which can cause/worsen sinusitis in your case. You can try using a hair pack made with Tulasi leaves.Tulasi is known to reduce cold, cough and has great healing power. If you must use a hair pack, apply only once a week for not more than 15 mins and take head bath only during the afternoon (skipping early morning and evening).I think its wise to visit an Ayurvedic practitioner who can do pulse diagnosis to suggest herbs that are suitable for your body. Also do visit a specialist and get your sinusitis treated.

You can use one of these hair oils for head massage.
    • Luke warmed black sesame oil.
    • Luke warmed mustard oil.
    • Luke warmed extra virgin olive oil.
    • Black sesame oil infused with black pepper and/or cumin, ginger, garlic.
    • Coconut oil infused with black pepper powder.
    • Tulasi hair oil made using black sesame oil and tulasi leaf juice.

Ok good. Not just an Ayurvedic practitioner but a true practitioner who is an expert at pulse diagnosis. Do ample amount of research to search for an expert in your area.

A proficient practitioner of ayurveda treats you without asking any question about what’s wrong with you, nor will he/she ask you for any diagnostic tests. They do it through nadi vigyan i.e pulse diagnosis. Because blood flows through every single part of the body, a trained practitioner can feel any imbalance in any part of the body in the pulse. Through the pulse, he/she also comes to know the interaction and balance of mind-body systems. In addition, the physician assesses the posture and body language, emotions on the face and tone of the voice. The practitioner can easily determine your body type. Usually Kapha body type are very prone to cold, cough and other similar infections. Once the diagnosis is done, he/she can suggest you some lifestyle changes and some Ayurvedic medicines. They also suggest to have a positive and lighter approach to life as Ayurveda truly believes in mind body connection. Remember Ayurveda works slowly without any side effects so be patient and believe in it. Good luck!
