Cough During Pregnancy

    Am having light cold from past two days and sneezing is there, today Midnight cough started and not able to sleep...is coughing cause any problem to the baby in the womb...am having appointment with my gynic on Wednesday..and als soar throat als started.. drinking hot water but not working ... some mucus is there inside which is not coming out due to that am getting cough..
    If I cough more is it will affect my baby.. right now am in 25th week of pregnancy...

    @Janakinarne - sorry for the late reply. By this time, I hope your cough has gone and you have recovered completely.

    Coughing during pregnancy is okay. Make sure to cough not so hard.
    Whenever you get a cough or sore throat - take a Tbsp of Honey mixed with a pinch of Dry Ginger powder thrice a day. Also drink warm water often.
    It would help in softening the phlegm and soothes the throat. It might take 3-4 days to get a complete relief.
    Salt water gargling too helps in reducing the soreness.
