well said , i slowly started adopting all the natural techniques , my first step is to use shikai rather than any soap , which give me great improvement and self confident . with that said my skin reversed back to young age and my face started glowing , i usually have dry skin but after avoiding soap my skin appears normal .

Happy to see this post. Recently, I have started using karisalankanni hair pack and avaram poo bath powder. Both are extremely good.I'm also using store-bought nalangu maavu for my skin.

Soap causes body to make more oil as soap depleted it thus making you not oily especially when you stop soap usage

Ladies! Does anyone used/uses Kadalai Maavu/Besan for hair?
I have been using it for the past few weeks and it removes the oil nicely!
Let me know if anyone has or had experience of Gram flour for hair.
    Thanks in advance : ) : ) : )

I have tried Besan hair pack and loved it.

    Besan hair for dry hair
If your hair is on the drier side it is recommended to mix Besan with full fat curds and apply as a hair pack (leave it on for 30 mins), rinse with Luke warm water. No shampoo is needed as Besan acts as a hair cleanser. Make sure to gently scrub your scalp with finger tips while washing to prevent hair fall.

Besan hair pack for oily hair and scalp.
Mix besan flour with water with no lumps into a consistency suitable to apply on scalp.Make sure to leave the pack on for 30 mins and wash with Luke warm water. This acts as a natural hair cleanser and is known to provide soft and shiny hair.

1.For people with dry hair they mix besan with curds and 2 spoons extra virgin olive oil.You can try skipping curds.

2.Alternatively mix besan, one egg, lemon juice and honey together, apply as a hair mask, leave for 30 mins and wash with cold or Luke warm water. This mask is known to remove the dryness of hair and makes them soft and glossy.

3.Mix some besan with little mayonnaise and honey into a paste.Apply the paste on your hair and leave it for 30 mins.Rinse with plain cold or Luke warm water. Do not add too much of mayonnaise as it will make the hair very greasy needing several washes.

    4.Hair wash paste
Mix equal measures of unshelled green gram flour and fenugreek seed powder with little water into a smooth paste and leave overnight.Grind the soaked mixture with a handful of hibiscus leaves, little gram powder (besan) and required rice starch. You can be liberal with rice starch as it acts as a hair conditioner and keeps the hair shiny.Wash hair with this paste.

5.There’s a wonderful website called wildturmeric.net by Ramya. She shares amazing remedies for skin, hair and health issues.I am a big fan of her. She uses besan with neem leaves, fenugreek seeds and rice water. Check this out. I am sure you will love it.
