Allow daughters to wear modern outfits but DIL should wear only traditional dresses like saree or salwar and become one sanskaari bahu :rage::BangHead:
Why should inlaws control what DIL should wear ? After all it’s her choice !!

I put on a smile and say as sweetly as my nature permits "Please could you take off your shoes here?" I have even placed a stool there for them to sit when taking off and putting on their shoes.

I cannot resist ..Mine goes like this....

(I think) I like, cooking. If I cook when my relatives mostly of my age are here, just to get a feel of apnapan (you know what I mean)... in which constitution it is written that I AM ALSO EXPECTING YOU TO COOK WHEN I COME YOUR HOME .. And my jaw dropped when I was told by the so-called-relatives-of-my-age in my kitchen that I am over doing and other people expect her also to do the same.

I thought it is as simple as .. I do whatever I want to do(at my place) and you do whatever you want to do(at your place) but a big NOOOO...

I am not sure if anyone DARED to tell them with this attitude..

    Did anyone faced this ?
