Thanks @Sansa .Its true that the weight of a baby depends on several factors like genetics. But as doc say as long as the baby is active and reaching milestones there is no worry.

I am not worried that he is skinny and I mostly avoid all kind of junks ..

Just wanted to know if it can be used in milk like other substitutes which we have been drinking from childhood like Horlicks, boost, bournvita etc...

It is natural to worry abt kids butrition.
Whole milk is enough as drink without sugar and without horlicks etc
Horlicks boots wtc have sugar. In south asian communities diabetes is very common after age 40.
Get your child used to no sugar added milk

Milk has its own sugar. 3 spoon per 8 oz of natural milk sugar. No need to add sugar.

Get child to eat egg scramble, avacadoes, berries, peas, cheese, string cheese cut into tiny pieces, protein from natural food might help. Get him to drink water, ecen for taste. Water is imp to develop taste for table food.

Wanted to add that the the Percentile chart that doctors refer to in US was made by using a very limited group of kids- all Caucasian and was made very long time ago.
Now a days, the doctors even say that the chart is kinda old benchmark. And especially doesn't apply to south asian people who aren't very big genetically - vertically or horizontally :)
Do feed some kind of protein to child- peas mashed up or egg scramble, cheese. Don't go for carb heavy calories. Roti and rice are our staple food but they don't provide much nutrition. Just boil veggies with turmeric and little oil and blend and feed. Root veggies have a lot of carbs. and some good nutrition. Raisins are good too for

You can give child a good multivitamin. (check with doctor if with iron or with iron)
If you are bfing, definitely take some iron and vitd and calcium. You can continue to bf and increase your own nutrition.
