Homeo is good but one has to have patience as the progress of relief is gained only after a period of time. It could be holistic and recognises the distinction between the site of pain and source of pain. But I would suggest that one may try to change accommodating new activity or activities in her or his life style may help reducing progressively the ache or pain.
    2. A lady subjected to various tests and elaborate medical regimen could not get an iota ofrelief in USA.
    3. After about eight months around Christmas she came to her native village in Trichy inadi. Lady’s mother in her sixties was managing the show in kitchen. She suggested to her daughter returned from USA - to try grinding on stone for coconut chatnee -a side dish for dosa and vada idli- . She pushed the ellipsoidal stone front and back on another flat stone to grind the mixture of grated coconut with fried roasted chilli and grams.
    4. Lo ! her forearm stiffness eased and repeated this exercise in then gym-kitchen for a few days, she was at ease in using her arms comfortably in all angles and postures.
That is great Indian kitchen of yore!
God gives stone to cure stiff muscles and make it supple.

I love this answer. Especially from a newly minted ID that has a "Dr" in the moniker.
Age'ing is the cause/source of pain, unless it had been the consequence of some incident causing the trauma. Sites vary depending on which joint gets less rejuvenated with exercise/nutrients. Aspirins, degree-coffee (caffeine) and mild exercise (chutney grinding, drawing water from well, or lifting Bisleri 2L water bottles up and down like dumbbells) should take care of it.

So long as the prescribed medicine(s), if need to be taken orally, does not contain toxic heavy metals, it would cause no harm, and comply w/ the Hippocratic oath. If one is resolved to go to a homeopathic healer, one should make sure that they understand the contents of whatever they are asked to swallow as medicines.

On the aspect of requiring patience (it takes time for homeopathy to work, say many on this thread) for progress, I recall the Panchatantra verse on pain, and how pain can be relieved if one loses sufficient money on that pain relief. No money, no pain.
