Right from the time I 'understood' What 'praying' means, I always did Close my eyes and asked all good Things not deserving. Yes, I did! You gave me many, I didn't thank you. You didn't at times. I yelled at you. But when you didn't, I know you knew Why, though I added your 'list' of dues. What can I ask you, you tell me dear! I may want anything and demand that too! I know that I am naive, stupid and mere. You'll give whatever I deserve. Thats true. There are those times that you give us all, Times to cheer, times to be overwhelmed, Times to be lifted by an unknown source, Times to be immersed in such a big gloom, Never have you let down any of us since, You are our father and mother, my lord! Being blinded by each and every sense, I don't even realize. That hits me hard!
So true RGS. Over time we realize that what we ask for is not necessarily what is best for us. So acceptance of whatever comes to us is the best way to face life. At some point, in retrospect it will always turn out to have been for the best.
Thanks @satchitananda for your nice feedback. Perhaps we get wiser and accept things as we age. Then we rue that life could have been better had we been this mature earlier. -rgs
RGS, unless we experience the truth of that, how could we just 'believe and accept' it? It's part of the process. So no need to rue the past. That was also meant to be with a purpose.
I agree Satchi. But then we are meek enough to still worry than move on. Thanks for your feedback. -rgs
I remember reading somewhere -God always accompanied a person in his life and as a proof he saw two sets of foot prints, but in the most difficult phase he saw only one set of foot prints so he shouted at God as to why was he missing when he needed Him the most.God smiled and lovingly answered that in that difficult phase he was carrying the person hence only one set of foot prints.
Thanks @anupama1 for your feedback. Happy to receive a first from you. Yes, I read that story too. What is beautiful in that story is that the man had to endure what he had do and God was helping him to, in the most benevolent way. -rgs
