Now I remember the name of the company (common) email which we used - Sprint EMail. Anyone used it before?
Oh my god Orkut! Have very fond memories . Writing scrapbooks and testimonials. I was so excited when my crush, who was my senior gave me a testimonial which was totally unexpected. My friends started teasing Till date I wonder why did he even do that !
I wanted to share my favorite websites: 1. brainpickings.org - no matter how down I feel or upset with life, I always find something here to pick me up. I've been a regular for many, many years and Maria Popova (the single maintainer of the site) has never let me down. I also like it because it is run by a woman. Mostly it gets me thinking about the silliness or the trivialities of the current issues I am facing and opens my world up. Site is still going strong and she recently published a book. 2. kottke.org: Completely for time pass but in-the-new interesting stuff on the Web. 3. Ask.metafilter: Before I discovered IL, ask.metafilter was my go to place to learn about the ways of the world. It is like a "mostly-western version" of IL. Lots of regulars just like here - who care, commit and spend many brain cycles for others. You need to pay to become a member - so the quality of contributors is reasonably good. The cost is one time fee of 5$ - very low - but it kept the trollers away. I loved how you will find all sorts of questions from "should I rewear my underpants" - "I am seriously considering baby number X, how should I plan my life and work around it?" WARNING: All of these three websites can be severely addictive - so check at your own risk. :-D
