    @Laks09: Long ago some one suggested it as a good substitute for rice I. Thayir Saad am. Especially for those who want either low carb or diabetic alternative. My one’ll problem is it contains too much sodium.

    Nice to see you here too. Have been totally off track and all the weight that was lost is back firmly (or not so firmly :p) in place!!! Am not fighting it off for the present. Am battle weary.

    Thank you dear. Salad cutting all I have a philipino office girl in my office. She will cut for me fruits and veggies for my salads. Other items all i will do myself.

    Hi Friends,
    I have recently started a diet which says that I have to take sprout or bean salad for lunch. I usually saute my sprouts with onions and tomatoes and then add pomegranate, one boiled potato, and some paneer. However, I want to go off dairy. What else can I add?

    Hey @cheenu123 ,

    You can use tofu instead of paneer.
    However, moong bean sprouts are full of protein in themselves, so you don't additionally need paneer in the sprouts.
    You can also add cucumber with some lemon juice to your sprout salad

    I am not sure it is necessary to drop milk products completely. After all it's been part and parcel of our traditional diet. It is a rich source of calcium. All one needs is to exercise restraint in the quantity. Of course, if you are allergic to lactose, or if you want to go vegan, it is a different matter.
