Along the dark shores of the river That occasionally seemed to blink As a meteor fell and it did never React hard other than just bubbling. Suddenly, as though its a distant dream, He saw it and couldn't believe it first. A dull red light, or so it would seem, Its size grew from a dot to an infant's fist. Confirmed that he saw something that Eluded him for years, though he didn't Try hard, he pushed more than ever but It left him ruing. He knew just couldn't. Time flew as a black swift and he Grew older, but that hope was left. One day, he knew he'll surely be Facing it and will cherish that gift. That day finally came though he didn't Realize that it would be the one. The infant's fist came and just didn't Stop. It consumed him and was gone.
