I don't have any specifics, but I do follow my ma and grandma...

Cooking food in good mind and serving it peacefully are the keys for good relationship.
Never cook food in anger, sadness, or with resentment; it affects the people
    who eats the food.

No matter what, I don't let DH cook food ....even if he cooks, it won't
    come out 'good', that's different.

Whatever the decision DH makes, I go along with it. Hardly, I raise my voice / opinion.
But, if I take a stand, I will not back out....no matter what. DH knows that
very clearly. My 'rights are reserved' and I will use it very sparingly.

I wish every married couple should understand this and forgive/give up (for) each other and whoever forgives/gives up the most, for the spouse, is the true winner...meaning you lose to win!
    Thanks Topaz49...!

When you cook food, you cook with love. So the food tastes better...I always cook with extra care, selecting each and every ingredient and add to it, the most tasting ingredient, the Love!

Be emotionally and financially independent - Your husband is not your caretaker, he is your equal partner.

Look after yourself - Don't let sight of who you are, what you like as a person, what your hobbies are. This is what makes you special so hang on to them and nurture them.

Enjoy the little things - Celebrate little joys and take time to laugh, play and have a good time. Don't take life too seriously all the time and forget to live life - together.

Appreciate one another - Always appreciate one another. It doesn't matter if its a small or a big thing. Appreciate, make the person feel good. Good recognition brings out good behaviours.

Dont compare - Dont compare your marriage with others. No one knows what goes on behind others' closed doors so dont compare and feel bad thinking your marriage or your husband is not nice enough.

In today's world it is very true; watch out, overly independent can create problems also.

Adopt a mindset that it's good to count on your partner. Believe that you can share your deepest feelings with him/her and it will promote healthy attachment, trust and intimacy. You must let them in and embrace the idea that you don't have to go through life alone. Being willing to let yourself be vulnerable takes great courage.
