After the sunset Sky is Radiantly Red For a while After the Fall A leaf still remains On a treetop After a flower fades Little fragrance Still lingers After a song ends Heart still beats To the tune After the hurt heals Some scars Still remain Even After You are long gone Your memories Still remain afresh Some things Are Forever …
@jskls, This is so true. More than the act or an event, the impact or the impression it leaves behind lingers on forever.
Thank you @GeetaKashyap for a lovely feedback. You explain it so easily few words. Impressions remain and isn’t that what we carry forward.
Good one, jskls. Glad thread got bumped as I had missed it earlier. The thoughts in it are deep but words simple. The examples are perfect - sunset, fall-leaf, flower, song, hurt... The mind naturally tries to add to the examples. The series of examples aspect of the poem reminds me of the Ek ladki ko dekha song. The memory could be of anything.... a person, a relationship, a movie, a book, a song, a hope, a goal, a milestone, an achievement, an effort............ A true blessing is to reach the state where one looks back at such memory with more warmth and less desolation in the mind.
@Rihana Thank you for your lovely feedback. So true some memories leave us with a good feeling and to have many many more of them is a true blessing
