    Dear Gauri,

Many of the recipes you have posted are new to me. :) I cook only the regular Indian items. Please share homemade bread recipe with me. When I make at home, somehow it doesn't rise well or stay soft.

Geeta, no-knead breads have taken over home baking in the US thanks to this viral video featuring Jim Lahey's recipe that upended traditional thinking on baking breads. This is the most basic of recipes and it is the one I follow with variations in ingredients and proportions to make all my breads. It turns out flawlessly every single time and requires no skill on the part of the baker.

A detailed step by step is given here,

    https://leitesculinaria.com/99521/recipes-jim-laheys-no-knead-bread.html

The tools and ingredients are minimal and easily available everywhere. The only piece of equipment you might have to invest in is a 4 quart cast iron Dutch oven to bake your breads in, like this one - Buy Lodge Pro-Logic P10D3 Cast Iron Dutch Oven, Black, 4-Quart - Amazon.in

Did a thali for the navami bhog. With a bit of prep earlier in the week, the cooking was fairly quick. Chhole, aloo gobhi, boondi raita, sukhi bhindi, salad, and kheer.

One dish dinners are my salvation on nights I don't have too much time to put dinner on the table. Made a Thai red curry with lots of veggies, served over rice.
