Thanks a lot for the nomination dear. It is an amazing write up, but I am not surprised. I have learnt to expect only such wonderful stuff from Geeta.

 

Thanks for the nomination shravs. Yes, it is indeed a worthy post especially since it comes from a person who has been there and done that. It is certainly not easy to do that and hats off to anyone who can be the bigger person.

 

That is a wonderful response by Sabitha and thanks Kamala for nominating it. I have seen parents taking the side of one of the warring children which created a rift with the one daughter on one side and the son on the other and other daughter (uninvolved in the fight) who was not allowed by the parents to keep in touch with the warring daughter. This ridiculous state of affairs lasted till both parents were dead and then the siblings made up after nearly 2 decades. It breaks my heart to think how many years were lost in between. The nieces were also not allowed to communicate with the aunt in those intervening years.

 

Thanks for the nomination. I love the fact that Kamala is a very balanced person and if she has tips for the dils to keep the relationship healthy, she also sees the other side of the coin.

I simply loved that and Kamala, am waiting for that thread!

 

One of Gauri's many posts with really practical and valuable suggestions. Self hate is destructive and naturally far from productive, but somehow society teaches that self-love and self-compassion are undesirable. Time we got away from all that negativity and started developing more constructive ways of dealing with our own mistakes.

 

Thanks for the nomination "not so messed up". I too liked Geeta's response and would like to add that so long as one does not expect miracles like I did pooja, I pray, I broke 10 nariyals and all my desires should be fulfilled, it is alright. The moment one has those kind of expectations, worshipping God can only set one up for more disappointments in life.
