    Hi all,
    Greetings.
    I am creating this thread for sharing the famous musician Shri Swathi Thirunal krithis and notations & recordings which will be helpful for students and also people who are interested in learning rare krithis.
    This is a small initiative to get transferred the music knowledge to the present generation as the ratio of interested people and the number of krithis are growing in indirectly proportionate.

    Swathi Thirunal.
    The well known Maharaja of Travancore. From the age of 16 he ruled Travancore for 19 years with well formulated code of laws, court of justice. He introduced English education.
    In this short life span his contribution towards music is numerous. He lived in the era of the Three gems ( Thyagaraja Swami, Muthaiyya Bhagavathar and Syama Shasthrikal). He contributed around 400 krithis including both Carnatic & Hindustani. He used the mudra Padumanabha & sarasijanabha widely.
    He was well known for his kshethra krithis similar to the navabharana krithis.

    Hereby I request all learned music lovers to contribute with the krithis, Padam etc. Not only the names but also the notations as well.
    Sharing rare recording of legendary rare voices are also appreciated.

    I don’t know much about Swathi Thirunal’s krithis, but still I am posting his famous song ‘ Mamava Sada Janani’ a beautiful composition on Goddess Mahishasuramardini.

    The singer is Aswathi Rama Varma. Prince Rama Varma gave his maiden public performance in 1990, and released his first CD at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London. Since then, he has given concerts and talks in several notable venues across the globe including Arsenal de Metz, France; Zuiderpershuis, Belgium; the Royal Tropical Institute and The Waag, Amsterdam; the Korzo Theatre in The Hague; The Hindu Lit for Life Literary festival; Alliance Francaise and the Madras Music Academy. He was invited to perform at the Rashtrapati Bhavan by the then president of India, Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam.

    Hi all,
    Hope all are doing well.
    Navaratri is all around here in a couple of months. I guess it would be a great time to share the wonderful Navaratri krithis of Swathi Thirunal here. These are written and composed in a way to address the goddess through out the 9 days by one each.

    I am in search of the notations as of now couldn't get it. If someone have or can get it the effort will be appreciated. And here goes the krithi for Day1.
