Episode 44:


“Wishing you a very happy birthday!!! : )” – Harshad

Aadhiraa didn’t want to open that message. She got irritated to see that name in her mobile. She kept the phone aside and closed her eyes to continue her sleep.

“Happy birthday kaa” – Shylajaa whispered drowsily.

Aadhiraa smiled seeing her sleepy face and her eyes struggling to open.

“Thanks my love” – Aadhiraa whispered back.

“Lets sleep now” – Aadhiraa kept patting her gently and Shylajaa was asleep.

“Aadhi….Get up….” – They heard their mom’s voice after few minutes.

“Hmmmm….” – Aadhiraa

“Happy birthday my girl” – her mom stood before her.

“Thanks maa” – Aadhiraa smiled widely.

“Aunty! Today I will prepare a special dish for akka! My gift! You got to teach me” – Saying this Shylajaa got down from the bed.

“Oye!” – Aadhiraa kept smiling seeing the smiling faces.

She opened all the messages except Harshad’s. She deliberately left it as such. The day was good with sweets and temple visits.

It was night 9.30. She slowly opened that unread message. She smirked reading that again.

“Oh Thank You! Sorry! Was quite busy from morning! Didn’t have time to touch the phone at all!” – Aadhiraa sent

“Oh! No problem” – Harshad replied in few minutes.

"So! how are you?" - Harshad

"Great!" - Aadhiraa

"You know what? I will send you some pics! Myself and Krishita at beach" - Harshad sent and Aadhiraa's anger spiked.

"Oh ok!" - Aadhiraa

In few seconds, the pictures got downloaded and Aadhiraa got irritated seeing that.

"Why did you chat with me all the day and why did you get committed with someone else?"

"May be Harshad thought it wont work with my family! And yeah of course financial backgrounds! They both belong to the same kind of society unlike me. The Posh society. Anyway!!! right decision! It would be easy to stay in the relationship and get married without any issues!" - Aadhiraa analysed.

"Nice pics!!!" - Aadhiraa

Aadhiraa didn’t continue the conversation further and both left it as such.

“By the way, Maa..told you na. Tomorrow am going to school. Need to train the girls for dance. Even Tharun is coming. He will be training the boys for independence day parade” – Aadhiraa

“Good! Come home for lunch” – Mom

“I will be coming” – Aadhiraa



Tharun and Aadhiraa started in their own vehicles and reached school.

“I will go to our classroom. Will take the count of record notebooks. I forgot to check yesterday. ” – Aadhiraa said to Tharun

“When will the girls reach?” – Tharun

“In another 15 minutes I suppose” - Aadhiraa

“Am going” – Aadhiraa walked towards the classroom and Tharun started training the boys for independence day parade.

Aadhiraa was counting the notebooks, arranged few assignment notebooks and took her bag to start.

“Hey….” – Tharun walked in.

“Oye! No training?” – Aadhiraa asked casually.

Tharun all of a sudden pulled her hands, placed both his palm on her hips

“Aadhiraa…I am clouded by your beauty and I always wanted to kiss you” – Tharun said taking himself towards her and Aadhiraa was shocked

“Idiot!” – She pushed him aside and slapped him.

Tharun stood as such with his palm on his cheek.

“I considered you as a good friend of mine! you know?” – Aadhiraa raised her voice

“So what? Am your friend right? Kiss me! Whats there in a kiss?” – Tharun asked without shame

“Get lost! If you don’t go out, I will tell this to everyone! Shall I shout now?” – Aadhiraa asked with ferocious face.

Tharun stood quiet. Obviously he knew he was not right.

Aadhiraa took her bag and walked away.

Her eyes full of tears.

“I thought he is my friend….” – She murmured wiping her tears.

“Senior!!! We are here! No training?” – a girl asked

“I fell down! Its aching! I think it’s a sprain! I will go home now” – Aadhiraa

She took her vehicle and wore the helmet. Tears were running over her cheeks.

She was about to reach home and she stopped her vehicle. She took her water bottle and washed her face. Wiped it with her dupatta and moved towards her house.

She pretended to be normal at home. It was around 7 she climbed the steps and stood on the terrace.

She still couldn’t believe what happened to her.

How can Tharun be so shameless?!!!

Just for this, he spoke to me each and everyday?

He had such thoughts on me and pretended as a good friend?

The disappointment hurted her again. It was hurting and she shed tear drops.

Ganesh climbed the steps and stood as such. He saw Aadhiraa standing.

“Today…what happened…?! Even the other day your eyes were reddish” – Ganesh asked all of a sudden and Aadhiraa stood as such.

Something in Ganesh told that Aadhiraa was going to tell him something.

“Why boys are this bad?!! They wont consider a girl as a friend? Or stay loyal if they love a girl?” – Aadhiraa asked with tears.

“I don’t have an answer for this! It depends on whom you have met” – Ganesh

Aadhiraa was so hurted that she told everything to Ganesh and he stood without responding.

"Its ok. Calm down!" - Ganesh said softly and she couldn't stop.

“Will you stop crying now or shall I call Vaasu here?” – Ganesh asked and Aadhiraa jerked

“What?” – She rolled her eyes and Ganesh smiled seeing her face.

“Idiot” – Aadhiraa smiled back.

“Hey Ganesh! Whats up man…” – Senthil came in. She saw Aadhiraa and jerked for a moment.

“I have got an important work! Will come later” – Senthil waved his hand and Aadhiraa smiled lightly.

“He is afraid of you. You know?” – Ganesh

“Let him be!! He has not guts” – Aadhiraa smiled

Ganesh and Aadhiraa stood as such for hours without talking anything.




“Madhu?!!! What happened to you?! Why is your phone not reachable? I have been trying from the noon! “ – Her mom yelled at her as she entered her house.

“What happened ma?” – Madhu was dull

“Krish fell down on the road and got hurt!!” – Her mom said and Madhu was getting nervous.

“What happened to him?!! Where is he now?” – Madhu

“Just came back from hospital! His knees got hurt! Doctor has asked him to rest.” – Mom

Madhu ran into her bedroom and saw her boy lying quietly

“Are you ok Krish? Is it paining?” – Madhu eyes were almost tearful.

“I will be fine in two days ma! Doctor told me! Am not afraid!” – Krish smiled to please his mom.

Madhu hugged him at once and kissed his forehead.

“Let him sleep now!” – Mom

“Madhu walked out and sat on the sofa….

“Hey Vaasu…..Dont run” – She saw a lady running behind a small kid.

“Vaasu…” – Madhu murmured.

Don’t know why I thought about this 10 years old story. 10 years? 12 years? 12 to 13 years old….

May be because that was my only love proposal in life?

She closed her eyes and her phone rang

“Anbu calling”.
