Machine-learning project will analyse 1,000 years of of historical archive materials, maps and manuscripts from the floating city's golden age, that could be used to create a kind of virtual time machine for Venice.

I didn't get to catch up with Expanse S3 yet, too lazy to stream. :tonguewink: I did watch some shorts and this one interested me, thought to share to you.

Konstruktor' deals with Victors's relationship with Eve. The questions is, will she understand true feelings, and will Victor be happy with her?

Lol. Moving away from #BlackMirrorTerrors, Another movie that I think is a cool concept!

    4A97BEEC-DED3-4749-8851-BD223541DDFD.jpeg

Now playing: A movie you control with your mind!

An EEG headset monitors you as you watch and alters the movie based on your attention levels. With this EEG headset on, scenes, music, and animation change every time you watch it, depending on the meanderings of your mind!

The continually computed score is sent wirelessly to a laptop, where specially built software uses it to alter the editing of the scenes, the flow of the background music, and more. You don’t have to move a muscle!

Beyond that, allowing the viewer to effectively edit the film—either by consciously thinking about it or by naturally responding to what’s happening on screen—creates a sort of two-way feedback loop. The film changes because of how you feel, and the way you feel changes because of the film.

“It almost becomes part of the system of your mind"!

    What!

Wish I could try the experience.

A new website lets anyone play the role of an argumentative AI. :wink1:

Debate Game (we should team up and test!)

Researchers have created a website where any two people can try playing the roles of the debating AI systems while a third serves as the judge. The two participants compete to convince the judge about the nature of an image while highlighting parts of it. Eventually it becomes easier for the observer to tell who is being honest.

"Creating AI systems that can explain their decisions is a challenging research agenda, If successful, it can greatly contribute to the responsible use of AI.”

"In order to debate value-laden questions in a way that is understandable to a human judge, the AI agents may need to have a solid grasp of human values in the first place, So the approach is arguably putting the cart before the horse.”

How can we be sure AI will behave? Perhaps by watching it argue with itself.

A shout out for India's first smart and green e-way!

Eastern Peripheral Expressway comes with a 2.5 metres wide cycle track on both sides, along with a 1.5 metre footpath. It's equipped with solar panels for lightings. Around 2.5 lakh trees have been planted near by with drip irrigation provisions, besides the rainwater harvesting facilities. EPE is expected to bring down the pollution level in Delhi by a 27 per cent.

Phase 1 of the 14 lanes Delhi-Meerut Expressway was inagaurated yesterday. The expressway will cut down travel time from 45 minutes to just 8 minutes, while the Eastern Peripheral Expressway will decongest Delhi's traffic and pollution woes!

In a small Buddhist temple in Japan, a funeral for robot dogs is a poignant expression of the human capacity for emotional connection, and compassion. Sony introduced the AIBO in 1999. The robots could move in complex ways, and had a simulated mischievous streak. Over time, they would come to “know” their human companions. Some AIBO owners became deeply attached to the robots. Sony stopped production of AIBOs in 2006, and in 2014, the company ended support service for the aging robots. That was traumatic news for some AIBO aficionados. Repair company A-Fun soon had a steady demand from AIBO owners, requiring parts from other, defunct AIBOs. Out of respect for the owners’ connection to the “deceased” devices, A-Fun decided to hold funerals for the "organ donors." According to Head Priest Bungen Oi, honoring these machines is consistent with Buddhist thought. Citing a proverb, he says, “Everything has Buddha-nature.”

Beloved Robot Dogs Honored In Funeral Ceremony!
