@Shanvy, Where did you get this flowers ? I went in search of these flowers and could pick some on the village side recently. I am now using this in the powdered form along with the shikakai. But now, I am in search of the hibiscus leaves which is tough to get. The store bought powder does not give the desired results :( .

@Anisu thanks to some nature remedies and siddha remedy programmes we get most of what he prescribes in a shop in our are within a day or two and also gets over soo!

also avarampoo is something that is age old that we use for skin and hair.

it works as a coolant and keeps hair and scalp eruptions away to a extent which is very common in this sweat and excessive humid climate.

we also use it for hairwash.

regarding hibiscus leaves grow one in a pot. i cant think of any other alternative.

Trying to get back on track. Got derailed from my diet as well as exercise routine for a while now and the consequences (weight is also in the phase of uttarayanam!!! :tongueout:)are here for me to see. Better to get back before I go back all the way to where I was.

    Today's menu:

    Breakfast: Coffee
    Veg oats
    Mosambi juice

    Mid morning: 2 veg cutlets

Lunch: Mudakathan veg rice (don't ask me what mudakathan is. Someone gifted me a packet and told me it is good for all joint pains.)
    Avrakkai
    Tender jackfruit

    Afternoon: Iced tea

    Dinner: Curd rice and avrakkai
    Handful of masala groundnuts

Might snack on some cheese or ice cream. Let's see how long I can hold down the hunger. Or drink a glass of buttermilk or fresh orange juice. Or even a bowlful of broccoli-leek soup.

Mudakattan is balloon vine.. me drooling. And next time you find a seed try growing it. Just a vine and should do well with your green thumb... and we grind the greens with pepper and jeera and add to dosa batter and make dosa. And this is good for joint pains.. and we have discussed this.

Ia am doing ok Shans. I never tried to cook oats in reciped like above as I feel it was sticky. For timepass I am going thru old IL treads - Weight loss buddies of 2012 - now. It is ver interesting to go back and read.

On a diff note, have you tried making dosa with cholam? I saw a recipe in IL in @radhaparth2000 post. Want to try it. Will I be able to grind soaked cholam in blender?
