    Hi all,
I am a South Indian and we take rice every other day. I am using pressure cooker to cook rice. I am just thinking to start removing the starch while cooking. I don't have any specific vessel for that. Is it an easy process? Pls share if you using this method.
    Thank you.

Wash rice several times before cooking or you can rinse cooked rice in cold water right after cooking. I do the former.
Or cook rice in extra water and use a big strainer to get rid of the starchy water.

I guess the starch is removed by the old fashioned boil n strain method. We still do that whenever we aren't in a rush for time.

Fill more than required water for your rice in a pan n let it come to a boil,
then add the cleaned n washed rice, let it cook.
Time may vary depending on the quantity n the type of rice.
Let it cook for good 20-30 mins, then keep checking a grain every 5 minutes till it's cooked to your softness.
This may take 2-3 tries to understand the timing.
Once it's ready, strain all the water out.
Then cook it dry for a few more mins in the lowest fire to absorb the wetness.
    Ready!

Wash rice 3-4 times, then soak it in water; Boil water; then add rice & cook for 5-7 minutes, when done, drain extra water through he sieve
