Can I carry Oil from INDIA to US

Yes. We all like pure and fresh but not at the cost of spoiling rest of the things. There may be 10 brought safe and 1 had bad experience.

Now it's your call

 

Do we have to declare it on the immigration form? And how about other food products like ghee, honey, spices etc, do we have to name them on the form? and in case we tick 'yes', do they take our luggages for inspection?

Last year at Mumbai airport my MIL was asked to throw away ghee so I guess No Ghee
Grounded/powdered spices you can ring but cannot bring whole spices.
You can bring honey. Any processed food you can bring in.
No fresh fruits like mango, chikoo etc, flowers

 

I would suggest not to. You never know what can happen due to what. There is risk to you and to other passengers in the plane. Oil is available here at all Indian stores.
I prefer the organic coconut oil from Bj's or Costco which i find to be more pure form than the indian parachute or other brands.
