Thanks Frangipani. I totally agree with you on the National Geographic bit. Birds can be so fascinating and not everyone gets a ringside view of their life cycle. In that Geeta is particularly blessed and she certainly has not remained oblivious to it. What's more she has generously shared the events with us.

 

Thanks Nandini for nominating Geeta's post. It is indeed special and richly deserves to be nominated.

Thanks for nominating this post. It is really a very worthy post - a very helpful and balanced view of a difficult situation faced by many women in our society. It will take ages before things change and even then I doubt there will ever be a 100% change. The problem is part social and part conflict between individual personalities. While we can hope for a betterment of the social situation, inter personal conflicts will always persist. Under such circumstances, what we badly need is to develop coping mechanisms to deal with problems as they are.

 

Thanks Geeta for this nomination. So true. Life is so uncertain. All we have this moment. What happens the next, no one can be certain of. This year started with Kamalji and after that I have heard of at least 10 more, the last again being a very close family friend who has influenced my life so much and was the inspiration behind my learning German and hence for whatever I am today.

 

Thanks Gouri for nominating both these very worthy posts. They were a pleasure to read both for style as well as content.
