    @ Shanvy, Agree with you on the discipline part. OMG! we cannot just escape from the eyes of our children. DD gets it so quickly. So I have to be very very careful with my work , my talk and everything i do.

    Here, we get organic and regular versions of just about everything — and, of course, the "organic" variety is twice as expensive.

    I do remember reading your post about rice varieties. It's fascinating how politics and economics dictate every aspect of our lives.

    I've never seen varagu or palakkad navara rice here. The quest continues. :)

    happy tuesday morning.. it is sultry in our parts..

    if somebody thinks that is a lot of rice it is a 1 inch depth box.

    it is green tomato/tomatillo kootu rice, mixed veg sabji to balance the tartness in rice, groundnut tikki, pomes, a toasted paneer and capsiscum salad and nuts

    @Anisu shall i share a open secret we assume our kids are not listening but now @22 when i hear tell me of some of the messages from my lectures as she calls them it is kind of happy/sad feeling aigh i would have had lesser stress knowing she really imbibed them.. but that is parenting we learn along with them. so do the best that you can..catch them young.


    @Amica i am sure little millets as they are grouped in will be found in your shores too happy hunting

    Back to walking. 2 hours last evening, 1.5 hours this morning. Net result, I was absolutely famished. Breakfast was a repeat of last night (left overs). Was still famished. Lunch done and still hungry with a headache. Wonder what the matter with me is today. Shall wait for a while and if still hungry will eat an orange and a banana.

    P.S What is there that a bowl of chilled curd rice can't set right? So it was that to silence the growling middle.
