Hahaha... I would strive to be a MIL who does NOT poke her nose into her Sons/DILs affairs once they are married.:laughing: We have to be the change to bring a change.

This is my aim too. I'm sure most women think like that.
But with time, things change. Day in and day out, DILs are made to feel like an outsider in in-law's house, verbally abused, controlled , and even their own husband either keeps quiet or blatantly supports parents- they feel all alone, and become over-attached to their son as the only person to call one's own. And that's how they turn into over-possessive MILs who want to control son-DIL life.
One has to be mentally strong to overcome all the psychological abuse married women face, to transgress into a mentally sound and independent MIL when her time comes.

    So from my side ...

My mil has nasty habit of collecting the multivitamin dabbas and cough syrup bottles and using them to store powders made to eat with rice! Yucky. *Sick*

:hello:This robust thread 5 years old (dont think of school) and 778 pages and still one expects more to discuss, dissect, disseminate causing some to become more despondent or more power to weild and some active participants and respondents themselves turned -MIL now- would offer point of views afresh from hitherto unknown angles.
    All are welcome virtually
    Regards
GOD BLESS All mils and sils to fill togetherness.

    Here goes my list:
1- using old paint buckets in the bathrooms and toilets, which looks totally mismatched and ugly.
2- pantry setup far far away from the kitchen. Even for the things that we need daily in our cooking.
3- handwash heavy cloths like duvet covers curtains. According to them machine wash is not sufficient.
4- huve collection of garbage like plastic boxes as they don’t know the concept of de clutter.
5- using appliances from 90s, be it iron machine or mixer.

    Lol very funny thread :clapclap::roflmao:

    Here goes my list
    1. Ladies shouldn’t go to gym as it affects their uterus :yikes:.

How come in western countries (US) have seen most of them with min 2 or 3 kids.

    2. Ladies should speak in low tone even when you are damn angry :sconf:.

It’s bad idea to keep anger within self cause it might turn into volcano and erupt :grinning-smiley-048:

    3. Husbands should always dominate wife !!
    Most stupidest thing ever..

    4. Don’t wear modern clothes ( Even kurta leggings) but be a modern woman and go to work !

    5. Pour litres of oil into rice (Lemon rice , vangibath etc) .
More the oil more tasty the rice. Doctors say oil is essential for lubrications of joints.

Reality : Doc would have suggested in moderation
    6. Inspite of thokkus and pickles chutney is mandatory always o_O
