    Hi friends,
I am new to this forum. Actually found this when I searched for something related to our abroad trip. First, I have to ask sorry for posting my query in this thread. But I really didnt see any option to start a new thread. So sorry.
We ( husband, me and our 3 year old son)are moving to US from India .I am equally excited and nervous too. This is my first international trip. I really dont know, what all should I bring from here. Husband is saying no need to take the cooking vessels, pressure cookers and all. We will get it from there... But I really dont want to take risk with a small kid. What if we dont get to go for shopping immediately after we reach there.... Do the furnished homes also provide some basic cooking utensils?? Friends what all you suggest as a must shopping kitchen equipments from India. I know I may be sounding dumb to many. But really clueless. Waiting for some helpful replies. Thanks friends.

Pressure cooker and few utensils , 3 plates, 2 cups is what I got from India. It will be helpful if u get all these. I don't think basic utensils will be given when we take a home for rent.dice u have a child u need to cook for the baby soon at home.

Thanks dear for the reply. Yes, got an idea. Will take few utensils, laddles, spoons and 3 or 4 plates and Idli steamer too.I guess Indian stores may be nearby so no need to carry Indian lentils, masalas and all.

Good only as long as you are in the know, but not part of the imbroglio or heat, isn't it? We all like to watch the fun;)
