What would it be like to never have changes in life? Imagine a life when we have to keep on doing the same things, day in and day out. We all need those changes. They can be of short duration or of long ones. Attending a music concert or going to the movies is like being in a different world. It is not possible for all to go to different places for their vacations. A lot of money is needed. Any change, of course, not the bad ones are welcome. New experiences enrich our lives.
Last week there was Literature Festival in the University campus not far from our place. We attended many panel discussions involving literature, films, poetry and so on. They were an enriching experience. There was a panel discussion titled ‘Blindness in Literature’. We enjoyed these new experiences which took us to another world.

We need change. At the same time we don't welcome the change too enthusiastically.
Whether we welcome 'change' or not ,changes are taking place and do happen in the world.Sometimes we feel that we should live in the same old village, same old grand parents. We can never go back on 'time' but by fantasy.

Human growth, both physical, mental and spiritual is the best example for change. We love the innocent smiles of children. But if the child does not grow physically or mentally and has the same'innocent' smile even after 6 years, the smile causes anxiety.
Change from infant, to child to kid to boy to man and aged are the natural processes.

Reg relaxation, we can't always be looking for costly relaxation. A simple diversion, or change for a few minutes ,or spending 30 mts talking to your child gives lot of relaxation .
Some diversion towards Sudoku or Crossword puzzles or attending quiz programmes will certainly activate our neurons for the better.Even an adamant child stops crying if its attention is diverted. Our mind gets easily acclamatised to changes. Then why worry about some wanted or unwanted changes in life? Whether it is happiness or sadness, everything shall pass and the cycle changes.Whether it is weather, monsoon, or plant growth, blooming and withering are parts of changes.

In our routine life, we don't have many changes, the same coffee, breakfast, lunch with some change in vegggies, waking up kids, bathing and teaching. But there is some interest in monotony too. There is some easiness, relaxation and quickness ,though associated with some boredom. The same temple, the same Balaji, the same rituals continuing day in and day out. Certain repetitions are reflexes which help us in 'seeing inward' in our spiritual journey .the important aspect of life.

It is nice to think of changes in all human endeavour from the biblical times or even before paleolithic times. Humans evolved from ape to Adam to Trump causing monumental changes in their ability to adapt as hunter to forest animals, to politics to polyandry, from aborigines to astronauts.
    2. If one is not accustomed to changes, it would be difficult for the person to carry on in this world. If one is indifferent to learn, he is sure to get isolated and would soon himself insulated from humanity and to be left aloof will sure lead him to asylum.
    3. From sign language to palm leaves, via hieroglyphics to Gutenberg to binary writing, the method and mode of communication has changed phenomenally. Exchange of sweet nothings via SMS, videos, had over taken letter writing or billet douxes. Love and lovely exchanges between folks had gone sea of change.
    4. Iron Age man eaten things raw and so his or her jaws shaped long and strong. With discovery of cooking over fire, new and newer recipes taken over and astronauts or cosmonauts in space station spend months on end eating only from tubes enjoying weightlessness.
    5. dresses made from animal skin, hydes and barks changed to cotton, silk, leather.
    6. But according to mythology, early man lived for several hundreds of years but now with so many changes his longevity is propped up to at best hundred years. Changes caused and accepted by him, caused imbalances both on ground and in atmosphere including the oceans. Changes against laws of Nature reported to have caused world wide catastrophes, deluge, landslide, melting of polar ice raising ocean levels swallowing coastal lands etc.
    7. Whether Macro or Micro, seemingly welcome changes causes something against Nature and She is waiting to correct it by erupting volcanoes earth or sea quakes, katarinas, tsunamis, cataclysmic downpours, et al.
    8. On the flip side during demonetisation, it was difficult to get Changes. Last minute changes of departure or arrival of ,flights, actors and actresses, show timings, in deliveries, in supplies, of fiancées,fiancé, exams, menus, rendezvous, et al cause inestimable incalculable infinite damages, attritions, .......
    Thank you. Regards.

    Dear Lakshmi,
I like the quote in the end very much. Very true.
Change is a part and parcel of life. Can we imagine a world without change? No!
Forget about the world....we are different at every age...10,20,30,40,50 and on and on.
Some small incident changes our thinking. At times when life becomes monotonous we create a change, that might be like going to a movie, taking a walk, making a phone call and chat with a friend and we come out of monotony. We do need change....everyone.
    Good one.

    Dear @LaksshmiKMBhat,
Change is constant and inevitable. Nothing stands still. Seasons keep changing. According to change we have to adapt or else we will be left behind. Almost all the living beings try to adapt themselves according to the changes.
A human life is a never-ending lesson in adjusting to change: biological, hormonal, familial, changes of home or relationship, changes of mind and heart, changes of fortune and circumstance, changes of government and climate. Those adapt to changes triump and those who can't suffer.
Without change life will be monotonous and boring.

It is said if your garden if full of butterflies, then ecosystem around you and your area is deemed good. Due to ecological imbalances, it is reported that North American migrating in lacs of thousands of miles in three generations the super butterfly queen MONARCH (illustrated below) is likely to become extinct in a decade or two. the reason is changes. it is BOTH MICRO AND MACRO changes indulged in by people the world over deemed responsible.

Yes, Jayasala, there is a security in the sameness of our lives. We are now reading so much about the Rohingyas. I cannot even imagine their life. There are so many changes in their lives , they must be yearning for a routine life. And I believe that small changes are enough, they make a lot of difference. Regards.
