Put two caps of of vanilla essence and bake in oven at 300 deg for 1 hr.
I use sandal incense sticks two-three times a week.
Air refreshners like air-wick Renuzit comes in many varieties.
You can try some potpourri too.

Fresh Air will do wonders. Keep windows and doors open whenever it is possible.

Room sprays keep your place fresh but many contain harmful chemicals in turn we inhale them. Some of the natural items (Lemons, Oranges, Cloves, Coffee beans, baking soda, mint, cilantro, rosemary, basil, sandal, cinnamon, potpourri, in house plants, fresh flower bouquets, herbs bouquet) are not only cheap but also absorb odor and leave our house smelling good. Few that I follow... 1. I keep windows and door open almost all the time I am awake 2. Crushed orange peels. 3. Crushed mint / cilantro 4. bake few coffee beans (strong it is) 5. I grow bamboo n aloe.

Dissolve few teaspoons of vinegar in boiling water, simmer for sometime and let it sit overnight, picks up cooking odor. Light scented candles. Proper air circulation.Clear away trashes and do your laundry regularly. Leaves your home smelling naturally pleasant
