If you do, I promise that I would behave and be the nicest person to you. At the age of 63, I learned a lesson that friendship is much more important than solving a puzzle. :)

Am I looking for a certain republican who invoked the 13th?

After so many clues, I can't claim to have solved this independently. Sorry I couldn't get to it earlier Viswa. I was traveling until this morning. Looks like recent 'uncivil' events inspired you to make this puzzle!

The answer to this puzzle is Robert E. Lee, who has been in the news lately for the wrong reasons. Unfortunately, the parade in Charlottesville, Virginia and death of Heather Heyer resulted in many Mayors of cities deciding to bring down his Statues and many other confederate statues inside their respective cities.

Row 1, Clue 1: Robert Mueller's photo giving the key word of the first name Robert.
Row 2, Clue 3: Prince Edward's photo giving the key word of the middle name Edward.
Row 1, Clue 4: Bruce Lee's photo giving the key word of the last name Lee.
Row 1, Clue 2: Stratford Hall, Westmoreland County the family seat, Lee's birth place.
Row 1, Clue 3: He belongs to one of the first families to migrate to the United States and hence the first family photograph as a clue.
Row 2, Clue 2: Downtown Lexington, Virginia where Lee died.
Row 2, Clue 4: Ulysses S. Grant to whom Lee surrendered his army.
Row 2, Clue 1: After the war, Lee supported reconstruction effort of the President Andrew Johnson.

    Credit for solving: @kkrish, @kaniths, @jskls, @PriyaSrini & @Gauri03.

I hope most of you enjoyed this puzzle and I am looking forward to solving some interesting puzzles from each one of you.

    Puzzle # 7965

    upload_2017-8-26_12-58-29.png

    Who am I talking about?

The level of intensity - Medium/Hard

Expected time to solve - 24 hours

Neurites with knowledge of recent scientific developments would find it easy to solve. I will give more clues when needed.

Errrr ... ahem ..., Viswa, I think this guy indulges in some extravagant extrapolation - not my cup of tea!
I know he has captured imaginations in India. I'm always bumping into people urging me to read him, and I did. I hope you won't be offended if I tell you that his impact on the latest scientific developments is zero.:wink1:

Sorry about the previous puzzle. I saw your tag just as I was heading out of town - didn't have time to look at it.:(

No offense taken. I have read him and many times I nodded my head in agreement. Scientists capturing the ancient Indian wisdom is not going to end with him. Many have done before and many might do in future as well.

Not a cup of tea that would cross my lips either... but the puzzle aside, just the love potion I was looking for! Thanks. :D
