Any Remedies For Constipation?

    Thanks for all the suggestions..

    I stopped drinking tea and stopped prenatal vitamins. I see a huge difference. All the waste seems to be getting cleaned up pretty well.
    On the other hand feeling depleted of the fluids in my body. Drinking lots of water and veggie smoothies to restore.

    Good to know that you realized the problem created by prenatal vitamines with lots of iron.
    Anyway dont stop prenatal, talk to your doctor for alternative once you feel better. Also drink lot of water. Watermelon is good. I used it a lot when I had issues with low amniotic fluid issue. Take care

    I will resume my prenatals again. Will see if tea is the real culprit.

    Warm water inbetween regular water intake + duphalac every night (Pls take it with doctors prescription). Take prunes. This has worked wonders for my sister.

    High fiber fruits like orange, mango, prunes will help.

    Btw I am new here and it says ' you do not have privilege to start a new thread'. But I want to start a new topic , how do I do that ?

    Hi,
    In order to avoid constipation during pregnancy you need to carefully observe your diet pattern ad make changes. Take lots of water and juice.Include more of fibrous foods in the form of fruits, leafy vegetables, dried fruits like raisins, apricot, prune, fig etc. Add cereals, multigrains, oatmeal. Drink warm milk twice daily. Take banana's daily. As soon as you wake up drink one glass of warm water and have a short walk for 10 mins. You will have the urge to pass stool. Never strain and remain constipated as it can increase chances of having hemorrhoids and fissure. This problem can worsen post delivery. So relax and keep yourself hydrated. Reduce spicy, sour foods . Reduce rice and include wheat and other cereals. This will surely calm down your problem. Stay happy.
