My inlaws want to purchase laptop...mainly it will be used for Internet surfing, and Microsoft office like word, ppt, excel , checking mails etc...it will not be used for gaming and not many softwares will be installed.. Pls suggest a good laptop with decent configuration for this requirement..cost should not exceed 40000 INR. Which brand laptop is best and most durable..and which company has best customer care for laptop.

Have you thought about getting a chromebook? They are cheaper, lighter, and easier to use, than a full-blown laptop. For the minimal computer usage needs that your in-laws most likely have, a chromebook would probably be enough.

However, I feel that the future lies in free and open-source software or FOSS for short. For my next machine, I should like to try the various FOSS options that are on the market. However, whilst there are a lot of open-source software options, there are very few such hardware options. It would be a good opportunity for entrepreneurs to explore.
