    Hi KK,

I too am trying for 10k and sometimes I go way beyond, but usually it is in in 7-8k range only. Also since I am using my mobile app to track, it is not so accurate as I do not carry the phone while inside my home. I tried tracker watch, but the colour does not suite many of my outfits, also I am not comfortable wearing a watch all the time.

So my main counts come from walking outside.

    Hi @AkilaMani
7-8 K steps is good if that is the only thing you can track. The un-tracked steps could easily add another 2-3 K I am sure.

I too had trouble using my phone to track steps and was very happy when my husband gifted me the Fitbit.
It is black strap and I wear bracelets and bangles too on top of that if needed.
I decide to create a new fashion trend - unmatched wearable tracker. :)

I do not track heartbeat. That function created blisters on my wrist. Many days I don't track sleep too, giving my wrist some freedom. But i wear it during all my wakeful hours.

I have begun posting in the 10K steps thread. Hopefully it will keep m e on track.

:thumbup: I like that :) Mine was a bright red strap and black round dial, was too much with my regular wear of salwar kameez. It was a free one issued by the Health Promotion Board, so there was no choice of colour when I got it.

Posting in 10K thread is a good motivation. I am trying to post regularly in workout group and buds journey. It is keeping me accountable and motivated

KK,AM, Looking for suggestions on which Fitbit to buy for a middle-aged couple in India. Now, let's not get into what is middle-age : ) They have a son in post-grad. : ) They exercise a lot, and are serious players of a few outdoor sports. Looking to buy only one. Is a surprise, so can't ask them what features they want, and cannot ask too many questions about their exercise schedule etc.

So, what is a good starter Fitbit to use in India?

If this is not the right thread for query, my apologies.

    Hi @Rihana
I have no problem having queries posted in this thread as long as the moderator does not object. :)

I think FitBit or any other wearable tracker fit all age groups. There are other trackers besides FitBit - Garmin, Misfit etc.
Here is an article on which are good.
Best fitness trackers 2017: Fitbit, Garmin, Misfit, Withings and more.

I owned a FitBit HR charge - This is a slim version and as I was tracking only steps it was useful. What this did not do was convert time spent on the elliptical to steps. I had to do it manually.

My husband then bought FitBit Surge - the watch - gave it to me and took the HR Charge for himself.
The Surge is a chunkier version.
    These are its fundamental features:
    Fitbit Surge: Specs
    • Touchscreen mono display with backlight.
    • Tracks Steps, Calories, Distance, Heart Rate, Sleep quality, flights of stairs walked.
    • Caller ID.
    • Small band: 16-20cm, Large band: 16 - 20cm, X-Large: 20-23cm.
Here is a full review on its features
Fitbit Surge review: Fitbit’s fitness super watch, plus unboxing photos

There are newer FitBit trackers that I do not know much about.

Wearing a health monitor itself is stylish in my opinion; so I have no personal preferences.

    hi friends ,

yeah divya, been long time I haven't posted here. Was actually wondering what type of routine I am following. kids were in vacation. we went out of station for a week. now finally back to routine. kids started going to school. so now a set routine will b there.

Cooking BF was pasta (loaded with veggies), lunch - Dhal, kovakkai , brown rice. dinner - will think

Exercise - particular in walking everyday, whatever distance I could cover.

Cleaning - Area of concern, I don't have a proper routine , I just do it randomly

    will update more later

    take care gals

    shara
