Evening snack . Have added two spoons of oil for 1/4 kg of poha. Small effort to make it healthy.

It's a jeera khakra, Anisu. That was readymade. The poha looks good.

Some dinners from last week -

Raw mango dal, achari mushroom-peppers-potato sabzi, roti

    Mushroom Din.jpeg

Aloo gobhi sabzi, methi matar paneer, raw red radish, roti

    D1.jpeg

Matar paneer with lots of kasuri methi is my son's favorite dish. After lazing around all day Saturday decided to make a special dinner.

Had some friends over for dinner tonight. They had only one request - no Indian food. I took the Italian route.

Caprese salad - Grape tomatoes, mozzarella balls, ran out of basil so subbed parsley and dried basil.

    Caprese.jpeg

Minestrone soup - Very filling and ridiculously low in calories. A 400gm portion is less than 200 cals.

Fettuccine Alfredo and roasted veggies -

Lovely plates. Colourful and inspiring as well as motivating food. My young man at home for few days. So I tend to forget to click a pick sometimes

We are eatimg healthy sometimes menu request by the hostel food survivor..(yeah he calls himself that.. and made me tear up saying it is so good to eat at home..the cost factor of the mess contract makes the food horrible..you learn the ropes soon.. positive even rasam tastes yum compliments..lol₹

Rasam, chanA masala and salads pickles and curds

Yesterday it was palak corn sabji, mushroom masala, dal fry with varagu for me abd rice for the rest.

Today salads,a local marrow/zucchini kootu with pepper, coriander and mint chutney, simple rasam, curds and onion fryums with varagu. Sneaky mom added a small fistful neem flower in the mint chutney

@Gauri03 repeat image visualisation me as puss wanting to be adopted please. And add on would be my kids. Dd loves Italian and ds can live on rotis and paneer sabji.. even achaar chalega is his input..you rock...

@Iravati I am bowled over by the variety. I love Gutti Vankaya and brinjal Baji. And here I was

me.. how can I accomplish such a feat suggested by @Iravati..
Mindvoice- try it you will have loads of inspiration from around the globe.
    Me..what if..
Mindvoice ..when did you start with what if.. you just enjoy the fun and learning.. @parineetha will make something new, @satchitananda will bring twists either with sauces or air fryer. @bhucat and @Anisu will dig deep and query their elders and share more..@damini will bring her own addition. I already can visualise, smell and taste the flavours, the bursting colours of whatever we chose.@laks09 will say she is busy( that she is, yet she will spring one, and @Gauri03 and @Iravati the neutrite gang will show us magic..@shodin and @VaniVyas will join between their busy schedule

@Iravati this is everyone's thread. Start with a veg that has possiblities and is easily available to all. If not a close alternative to be suggested.

    Start the music..
