At this rate, no Indian name shall be safe. Better to adopt an uncompromising and hard to pronounce Indian name and let the world figure out the rest.

Well, by the time the kids grow up, the heroines will be retired and no one will remember their names...

Here's two inoffensive Indian names for you, "Jai" and "Neel". Even Westerners shall find it difficult mispronouncing those.

There are certain feminine names that are common to both India and the West. If you name your child "Sonia", "Maya", "Neena", "Anita", "Anika" or "Tara", they should not face problems growing up.

The list topper should be Hardik ........or any name with dik in it.
Same with name with **** in the spelling.
Anu if the surname starts with S or if S initial is suffixed to the name.

Nice topic...I dont like my own name. Its Shanti, but many in the country where I live, spell as 'Shanty'. So please add this name to the 'avoid list of names'.

My daughter's name is Sandhya, many nick named her as "Sandy"... so to be avoided in future.

Agree.. Add Deeksha to the list. Was my all time favorite name. Ruined due to the hard 'D' sound.
