Lunch Ideas - Creating Balanced Vegetarian Meals

    Brunch today was half a ragi dosa and half a ragi mudde with sambar. Also had 1/2 a bowl of fruits (oranges, pears and grapes).

    Just had a sandwich with hummus, cheese, pesto, lettuce, tomato and cucumber.

    Hungry today after getting back from the institute.

    For a second there, I thought wedge of 'Godiva choc'.. What? Satchi? Oh.. 'Gouda cheese'.. Now my heart resumes..


    Even though I am a fairly smart eater, I was never consistent and often throw away millets!! This thread is an inspiration and even my 8 year old is now adapting..

    All of us have sensitive skin and I heard wheat should be taken in moderation.. Is it right? @Shanvy , @satchitananda and others too..

    Suasin, I am not above eating chocos once in a while, but have never heard of Godiva chocos.

    As for wheat allergy, it could include hives and skin rash. Maybe you need to observe whether eating wheat triggers skin allergy for you.

    @suasin ....For me wheat gives digestion related issues sometimes only. So I take twice in a week. It provides heat also for me so I adjust it with cooling agents like tender coconut.

    Even millets took more time for my body to adjust but now no issues at all....

    Try to figure out whether there is an issue after eating as satchi told.

    Happy to hear that Ur kiddo likes to adapt the healthy way of eating. Even my 7 year old dd likes my plate very much...Day before yesterday she even tried my bitter gourd fry:(

    Their dark chocolates are good.

    I take wheat daily.. Only recently my friend told me to cut down.. On the other hand, millets have been no problem.. Will try to stay away for sometime.
