Can't spend too much time on it until tonight, but I made a tenuous connection too. Probably wrong though, I am a silly old rambling fool these days.
Dr S: Can you give more clues for solving Answer #1? Unable to link 8 images to anyone answer. Do I have to use 1-8 images to solve puzzle answer #1? Should I try 1-4 and 5-8 as two separate clues to the same answer?
For rows-1 and 2, each numbered pic is one word. The full answer will be a sentence, with articles, prepositions etc. excluded of course. Not all pics carry equivalent weight on a path to the solution. The ordering of weights might be: 3 = 4 = 6 > 7 = 8 > 1, 2, 5. It's actually easier than you think! Row-3 is two words. That's it. You can treat it as an independent puzzle! Both pics carry equal weight. Can't solve with just one. More clues if this is not sufficient.
I found the two words in Row 3 very quick but unable to solve Answer #1 to get to Answer #2. Let me try it with your new info.
If you found the two words in row-3, then you must have the 'interesting' answer-2 already. So don't worry about connections. Try rows-1 and 2 as a separate puzzle, with its own payoff!
Did you say the first two rows form a sentence? They sure do. The sentence is, "Soks puzzles give me a massive headache." The pictures are now embedded in my brain which keeps going over and over them like a "Chekku Maadu" (oxen treading round and round the mill to extract oil.) Third line solvable.
Dr. S: If you are agreeable, we can bend the rules here to share thoughts of each puzzle solver to derive the answer only for your puzzles. Whether you consider it a group study or open book exam and reduce marks, we are okay with it. Alternatively, you need to give some more lenient clues. Viswa
Viswa, actually thread chatter is encouraged. If you look at the earlier puzzles, there was a lot of discussion. The puzzle is merely an excuse for good conversation - to talk about interesting things!
Ok, let's start here and work it through. The heavyweight clues are 3, 4 and 6, carrying more or less equal weight. What do you think they point to? Try 6 - what keywords does it evoke?
