Iam TTC since the last year. 6-7 months back I went to gynaec since I didnt get my periods for 2 months. She gave tablets to induce periods after checking for pregnancy. Then on the abdominal Ultrasound scan found that I have PCOS,though it only mentioned Polycystic ovarian changes .I was asked to take Ovacare. Since then my periods have been pretty regular 32-33 days every month.Since I did not meet success with conception until now, I recently went to an infertility specialist on CD1 this cycle. She asked me to get a vaginal scan. After the scan she said that I have a cyst on my right ovary measuring 1.8 *1.5 cm.

Then asked me to get a blood test done for other parameters.
    I had:
    AMH 6.38 NG/Ml
    FSH 7.18
    LH 6.17
    Prolactin 22.77
    Testostrone 47.47
    TSH 2.70

I have no idea as to whether these values are ok. Please let me know if they normal.
Yet to meet the doctor. She has told me that she will give medications based on the blood report as well. My husband feels she is rushing into tests as soon as we went.I dont know if she is being reasonable or trying to push us for tests on CD1 itself.I saw online that vaginal scan is usually done on CD2/CD3. Iam feeling a little confused. Is my blood report fine??

    Hi
Based on your reports your AMH levels seems to be on higher side, all the other parameters seems to be under normal range. Usually low AMH is a cause of concern, so i dont think you need to worry about your blood reports.

And these are the usual hormone tests prescribed by an infertility doctor, when you meet them even on the first day. Even i went through all these tests. Based on these levels, medications would be given to bring the hormone levels under control. So i dont think she is rushing into tests.

And since your periods have been pretty regular, i guess with simple fertility treatment you should be able to conceive easily.

Have your husband's sperm levels and motility levels checked?

Don't worry and just follow your doctor. Baby dust to you !! :)

Thanks for your response. Feels better to read your reply. Btw, my DH hasnt been tested. We have not done any tests for fertility earlier.

Actually when I met the doctor last time, she mentioned that the FSH & LH values under 5 were normal and that I shouldnt feel that she is biased when report comes.I didnt understand what she meant that time, now after seeing the reports and googling, I dont see any such limits even in Google. That is why had a doubt if my values would be considered normal among fertility specialists.

    Hi

I had the lsh and fh values similar like yours. And my doc said its within range. I had high prolactin levels and was on medications to bring that under control.
And later i was on metmorfin and duphaston tablets for pcod and hcg injections to generate follicles.
After 3 to 4 months of this medication, I conceived.
I guess you will also be on a similar medication

i was diagonised with thyroid and pcod in 2012. we started to plan a baby 2 years after that. i was taking glycomet 500 mg twice a day along with my thyroid medicines but couldnt get pregnant. and then i was asked to take siphene and dyphestone and conceived the next month. there was a heartbeat in the first 6th week scan but second scan 10th week they couldnt find one and the baby had stopped growing at 6 weeks. i had to abort the baby. the doctor asked us to wait for 6 months and try again. this time even siphene dyphestone didnt work. so i was asked to undergo follicular scan and take hcg injection on the ovulation day. i conceived the next month but it was a ectopic pregnancy with slow rising hcg and brown spotting. the doctor gave me 3 methotrexate shots and the preganancy dissolved with it. its been 7 months after this but i still have occasiional pain on my ectopic side. please help anyone else also undergoing the same? also what are the chances of my conceiving successfully again?

Wen to he doctor today. She has given me many medicines like,
    Metmin A
    Ovacare Myo
    Ultra coq 100mg
    Cabergoline 0.25 mg

She also said that FSH&LH should be lower than 5, Prolactin lower than 15. Since my values seem a little higher, she asked me to take these tablets each of each help reduce AMH ,FSH&LH ,Prolactin.

Have any of you taken these medicines and if yes, how did they help you? Please guide me...
