    I have read we the living, Fountain Head and Atlas Shrugged and am in love with Ayn Rand's works.
    I love John Galt's speech from Atlas Shrugged. Though, it is lengthy, those are the best pages in that book. The best Ayn Rand book so far. Oh! I feel like reading all three of them all over again. Maybe, I will. :)

    Laxmi, I am sure there are exceptions in today's world like you said, who are very happy with their talents, whether or not they are recognised for it.
    Believe me, just like you, in my teenage years, I used to idolise Roark and at one point wanted to marry someone in the likes.
    Soon I relaized that to be happy with likes of Roark, you must be like him.
    Then I thought, perhaps I would like to work with people like Roark. Thats even more harder to find.

    So, I dont know what to say. I am yet to meet someone like Roark.

    @Laxmikrsnan and everyone here,
    Time and again I run into passionate Ayn Rand fans. As much as there is passion for the author, there seems to be strong liking for either Fountain Head or Atlas Shrugged. Is it because they like, whichever they read first.

    Am in the verge of picking up Fountain Head as my first read. Is it better to read this first or Atlas Shrugged? Please suggest.

    Hi Whistle

    I would rather suggest Fountain Head first for the story gets your mind ready for the full fledged Ayn Randism...

    Happy Reading :)

    Completed Fountainhead.

    Not sure what to think of it. I don't know if I was weighed down by my own expectations. Maybe I might have enjoyed it better at another time. But I wouldn't call wasted time.

    I couldn't put it down, that's for sure.

    Might take a break before I try Atlas Shrugged. I do want to read it.
