Part 5

Priya was reading in the library when Seenu came in and sat next to her.

Priya looked at him and gave him a smile.

Seenu smiled back and said, 'A little bird told me that someone here liked me..!'.

Priya reddened.

Seenu continued, 'I just want to say that I like that someone too. '

Priya got goosebumps... She smiled lovingly at Seenu and ran out of the library.

'I am so happy today...!',screamed Priya hugging Manaali.
'Seenu likes me... Seenu likes me..!, cried out Priya.
'Really..? Wow!! I am so happy for you.', said Manaali.
Sakshi came in and said, 'Priya seems very happy today... Has Seenu asked you out, Priya?'
'Actually... Yes... Seenu told me that he liked me.. Isn't that wonderful!? ',said Priya.
'He did..? Really? Wow!! You lucky girl! So happy for you..! ',uttered Sakshi.

The girls were very happy and both Priya and Sakshi started teasing Manaali to find a boyfriend.

In the classroom...

Rohan was staring longingly at Priya, when Seenu suddenly threw a crumpled paper at her.... She hurriedly opened it... She looked at Seenu and smiled... Seenu winked at her and she blushed.

Rohan saw it all and felt jealous of Seenu but he couldn't do anything... He felt so helpless and angry at the same time. He wanted to beat the crap out of Seenu. He knew it was wrong but then hey, they say everything is fair in love and war.

After the class, Seenu walked towards Priya and they went to the canteen together.
Raj, Sakshi and Manaali had joined them. They were having a chat when Rohan came there and declared, 'I love you, Priya...!'

Priya was speechless as she had never imagined that Rohan would say such a thing so directly.

Seenu got angry. He pushed Rohan away...
'Priya is my girl... Don't you dare come near her! ',said Seenu.
'Let Priya decide. ',said Rohan.
'Rohan! Stop it! I love Seenu. Now please leave. ',said Priya.
Seenu smirked.

'I love you Priya and I will be always there for you. ',said Rohan.

Seenu got angry once again and he was ready to attack Rohan when Priya stopped him telling him just to ignore Rohan.
Then Seenu held Priya's hand and they left the canteen.

'Rohan! Are you ok?... That was something... Why would you tell Priya that you loved her when you knew she liked Seenu? ',asked Shyaam puzzled.

'I took a chance... They say everything is fair in love and war. ',answered Rohan.

Time elapsed... All of them passed out of 12th grade... Chose different fields... Went to different colleges...

'Priya is a distant memory... 'Rohan would tell himself.

3 years later...

It was Raj and Sakshi's engagement party.

After such a long time, the schoolmates were meeting. Some people were reminiscing about the good old days... Some were boasting about their high-profile career.
Rohan was half-listening them. He was looking around for Priya... After all, she was his first love.!

'Hey, Sakshi! You are looking so beautiful today.',somebody said.
It was Priya... After all these years he could still recognize her voice... He turned around and found Seenu and Priya wishing the happy couple.

'So they were still going strong..!, thought Rohan and smiled mirthlessly.

'You always look beautiful but today you are looking ravishing.',Seenu said to Priya.
Priya smiled and said, 'You aren't looking bad either..! '

Seenu kissed her cheeks. Priya pushed him away saying, 'What if someone saw us? '
So Seenu led her to a secluded room.
'So where were we? ',Seenu grinned.
Priya gave Seenu a hug and he hugged her back.... Then slowly Seenu started touching Priya indecently...

'Seenu! What are you doing??',asked Priya feeling uneasy.
'I am just loving you, baby',said Seenu forcing himself on Priya.

Priya tried to push him away but she couldn't do she screamed and screamed.

Suddenly the door burst open and Rohan entered the room... He understood the situation in no time and pulled Seenu off Priya... Priya was crying... It was Rohan's turn to get angry... He pushed Seenu away and said, 'Don't you ever dare come near to Priya...!'

2 years later...

Rohan and Priya's wedding reception...

'Hey, guys! You both are looking so good together. ',said Shyaam.
'Thank you, Shyaam... We are so glad that you have come. We didn't think you would come all the way from the US.! ',said Rohan.
'How could I not come? You are my best friend. 'Shyaam smiled.

Just then Sakshi and Manaali came on the stage and Priya started chatting with them.

'I am glad that you got Priya but how did that happen? I thought she liked Seenu.',asked Shyaam.

So Rohan told him how Seenu misbehaved with Priya as Raj and Sakshi's engagement party and how he had saved her!
Shyaam gasped, 'I never thought he was such a scumbag! '
'He wasn't the only one! ',said Rohan.
'What do you mean? ',Shyaam was baffled.
'Somebody had spiked his drink. 'said Rohan.
'How do you know that..? 'Shyaam was still confused.
'Well, how do you think? ',asked Rohan.

Finally realization dawned on Shyaam.
'You mean you spiked his drink...?! 'asked Shyaam.
'Well, yes... After all they say, "All is fair in love and war ".. And it was both.',answered Rohan with a smile.
