By gods grace its a normal delivery

Hearty congratulations! Im due Nov first week, but expected anytime and this is my first baby. Can you pls share your experience of normal delivery? Did you take epidural? I've heard taking epidural will ease the pain but makes difficult to push.Is that true? How long did the labor last? Your experience will be helpful to all expecting first time moms.

Let me share my experience..
I had mucous discharge on thursday mrng..its a brown discharge.. with slight liquid...
So wried n went to chk if its amniotic..
But no..
Ltr i hav been having contractions from thursday night around 2..
But very much manageable n discomfort..
Like 10-15 mns lasting for 20-30 secs..
From that time i waited till fri evng thinking contractions shud b 5 mins apart n 1 min duration..
They were irregular like even 10-15 mns apart n 50 secs lasting..
Went to doc...n hav been tld my bp was little high..
So they told they wud send back but tuk my blood n urine for preeclampsia chk..
So from 4-9 also i was having contractions...my dilation was 2 cms by 6 pm
There is no 30 mns without contraction from previos night..
So by 9 they told they would admit n i opted for epidural by 10:30
Nurse tld epidural shud b taken in activ labor so it wont lenghthen process of labor..
Tuk epidural wen i cnt manage pain n omg its a bliss..
It was warm n in no time pains reduced
Tell ur partner not to worry as u l get shivers heavily
Ask for extra blankets..
Frm no wer my dilation reached 2-8 cms
Nurse got surprised..
N tld to sleep for 2 hrs
At this time i strted feeling pain again n tuk 3 more epidural shots..
Then she strted telling me to push i pushed for arnd 1 hr..use max ur thighs muscles n breathing to do this..
Think. Its ur final part n u can do it...
This is tough
I dnt know what the pain wud be if its without epidural
My babies head is posterior so i had more pain in the back part..
Wen head is visible i tuk rest fr 10 mns n main dctr came n my baby is out in 20 mns after few more pushes...

N even for any changes go to dctr..
Try to stay if u can be at home for early labor..
I went to ldr becoz there is no 30 mns gap without one contraction
I thot they wid send me back home if its not labor

My suggestion wud b to take epidural but when u reached active labor..
Dnt wry to push if u feel like u wud poop n all..
At first i felt like i will be pooping for those pushes n hesitated..
Please done..
Use all ur energy..
Nw i m back to my regular routine which wudnt hav been possible with c section..
