Hi , my Urinr test last week showed littler elevated level for glucose . Dr said this might be due to food/ drink I ate tht very day. All tests before were normal . Now since Iam a PCOS case she has asked to do GTT test tmrw So scared and hoping all to be normal .
Try protein rich food previous day. Reduce carbohydrate and sugar intake. That should help you. All the best.
hi All, why the thread is so so so so silent! i had my GTT test. there were guests at house for a week from India so cdnt diet the way i wanted still went ahead for it. on fasting : 91 mg/dl 1 hr after having glucose syrup was 182mg/dl ( range was within 180 ) 2 hrs after : 121 mg/dl . hav to meet the doc today, lets see what she says...i am such a foodie the although i dnt crave for anything but the thought of diet at this time makes me nervous. saw a friend in diet during Pregnancy ...thought she was legend i have to go to India as well in November will be 5 + months then for 10 days. Its a flight plus four hours train journey. will go after my anomaly scan only if dr says all is well. Hoping everything to be fine. please suggest.
Hi Ashima I had my 1hr GTT at 16 weeks and failed but passed the 3hr GTT. My result after 1 hr having glucose was 198. I have PCOS too. The doctor has advised me to go low on carbs. Hoping and praying I don't get GD. I had my analomy scan on Monday but could not complete it as the baby was not in a good position. I have to repeat it next week and will also have fetal echo cardiogram as I had IVF. All the best for your best. Hoping everything goes well and you baby cooperates
Yeah ! Dnt worry ! Minimize rice potato i and chapati . I never know chapati too has so much carbs. Walking after a meal helps a lot. Hoping and happy and healthy months and delivery ahead to both of us.
Hi All, I am new to indusladies and I am due on March 26th! This is my second pregnancy and the first one was ended up in miscarriage. I am glad to be in second trimester.. All the best to all the March Mommies!! @ IVFbunny, I could not complete my Anomaly scan either as the baby refused to roll. I have to go back in 3 weeks. I have family history of Diabetes. I am really scared about GDM too.. I have cut down on carbs too... Rice is replaced with Quinoa for now!!!
Congrats on your pregnancy. Eat healthy and stay healthy. Enjoy your pregnancy journey. Try to go for regular walking for these GD troubles. Eat fiber rich food. Include more vegetables and fruits rather than rice or chappathi. Avoid sugar and sweets until the delivery time at least. Take care.
